Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is J.K. Rowling's Favorite

It's a question that many Harry Potter fans have wondered, "What is J.K. Rowling's favorite novel in her wonderful series?" That question has finally been answered. J.K. Rowling has told the world that her favorite Harry Potter book is the one she just finished, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. J.K. Rowling made this comment about the book:

"I always knew that Harry's story would end with the seventh book, but saying goodbye has been just as hard as I always knew it would be. Even while I'm mourning, though, I feel an incredible sense of achievement. I can hardly believe that I've finally written the ending I've been planning for so many years. I've never felt such a mixture of extreme emotions in my life, never dreamed I could feel simultaneously heartbroken and euphoric."

The feelings that J.K. Rowling is experiencing are exactly the same as those that many of her fans have. Harry Potter fans want the ending and their questions to be answered more than anything. Harry Potter fans have waited anxiously, but now that the moment has arrived many Harry Potter fans feel like they'll be losing an old friend, which may very well happen, depending on how J.K. Rowling has chosen to end her wonderful series.

Harry Potter fans were told last week that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows would be released on July 21, 2007. Upon reading this announcement on J.K. Rowling's website, many felt that J.K. Rowling wasn't exactly happy with this decision. It had been rumored that the release date would be July 7, 2007, which would have been a wonderful and, quite possibly, very lucky date. But, J.K. Rowling has mentioned on her site that this is just a rumor.

"This could not be further from the truth! The 21st July publication date has given me enough time to write the book I wanted to write, and for the manuscript to be properly edited. These are the most important things to me. An earlier date - eg, 7/7/07 - would have meant that either the writing or editing was rushed, and neither my publishers nor I wanted that. Any brevity in my announcement was down to the fact that I was busy editing!"

Whatever the date, Harry Potter fans look forward to the end, especially now that they know that this is J.K. Rowling's favorite of the series.
