Greenville, South Carolina, based Sassy Tails has inked a licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to produce and sell Harry Potter themed hair accessories. The ponytail holders, head scarves and headbands were designed by teenagers who are also avid Harry Potter fans. Kim Madden, founder of Sassy Tails, knew there was a market for fashionable hair accessories among young female Harry Potter fans. Her already successful Sassy Tails line of products was apparently a perfect match for Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
Sassy Tails ponytail holders are already unique with their multiple ribbons of varied patterns and textures. This is the original product that Madden and her young daughter first started selling in 2004. Now there are nine Harry Potter themed styles to choose from, including ribbons with silhouettes of Dumbledore's Army and the Ministry of Magic.
Sassy Snaps are another type of ponytail holder that is a round, cloth-covered button with an elastic band. Sassy Snaps have been embroidered or embedded with 12 different Harry Potter themed logos including the Hogwarts Crest and the Order of the Phoenix. In addition to using these in your hair, Sassy Snaps can be attached to shoes, belts and backpacks.
Single-knot ponytail holders known as Ponytail Pizazz are available with eight styles of ribbons in coordinating Harry Potter themed colors. Luckily for the girls with shorter hairstyles, the same ribbons can also be purchased as reversible headbands.
To really get serious with the Harry Potter hair accessories, you might want to opt for one of the six Sassy Signature silk head scarves. These quality silk scarves look like the neckties worn by the characters in the film. You can choose from the colors, patterns and logos of the four Hogwarts houses, solid red with the Order of the Phoenix logo, or black with the Hogwarts logo. Dedicated Harry Potter fans will want a scarf representing their favorite character.
All of the products are available online at the Sassy Tails website. The entire line of Harry Potter themed hair accessories are reasonably priced from $7.95 to $14.95 a piece. If you are considering a gift for a young lady who is a Harry Potter fan, gift collections are available from $19.95 to $99.95.
