Harry Potter, how I hate him.
I'd like to eliminate him.
But he's such a money-maker,
Who would serve as undertaker?
Harry Potter, Harry Potter,
How you need some holy water,
Leave alone my son and daughter,
As upon the brink you totter.
When did youth become so dark?
Could it be we've missed the mark?
Kids once tossed coins in wishing wells;
Now boys and girls are casting spells.
With magic potions, eye of newt,
Concocting curses and charms to boot.
And feigning fun, this goggled stranger
Lures our little ones to danger.
Harry Potter, Harry Potter,
How you need some holy water,
Leave alone my son and daughter,
As upon the brink you totter.
You can keep your goblet of fire,
Better yet, why not retire?
Reality, it calls our young
So Harry Potter, hold your tongue.
Your sorceror's stone has sprung a crack,
Your naked stage scene calls you back.
Though you've become a big best-seller,
You simply aren't our favorite feller.
Harry Potter, Harry Potter,
How you need some holy water,
Leave alone my son and daughter,
As upon the brink you totter.
For Aslan's roar, it beckons me;
The lion has won his victory.
And good will triumph in the end,
When life's last page is finally penned.
Harry Potter, poor lost soul,
Will you ever be made whole?
Get out! Get out, while you still can!
The boy must answer to the Man!
Harry Potter, Harry Potter,
How you need some holy water,
Leave alone my son and daughter,
As upon the brink you totter.

This is awesome. I think it's great.
LOVED the poem!! You are talented and insightful-you speak THE TRUTH!!
You are ridiculous. This is lame. ITS FICTION! Its imagination put into a book! You might as well say Cinderella is evil, because the Fairy Godmother does magic! OH NO, WHAT A NIGHTMARE! WHO KNEW CINDERELLA WAS FOR KIDS TO TURN EVIL! BAN THAT STORY!
WAS UP tell our teatcher Hi, read a book .like harry Potter
Hey susan anderson, have you realized that on your comment page it looks like the baby is talking?
What up!Linda you seriousl;y need to calm down!I am 11now and last year I read those books and I thought they were the best books i ever read!My mom says I can read them only if I don't get the facts all mixed up in my Christian life! You're starting to act like she-devil on madison jefferson country public library.com
Harry potter makes take the readers to a different world, a world built on imagination. The bad influence of this is that the readers never want to come back to reality, make them scared of reality.
Solid poem Linda! I agree with you... I honestly like Harry Potter for mere amusement as I like the way Rowling articulates myths and magic in her story. Anyway, as I read it further is getting darker and darker and obviously unsuitable for children. I know it's good idea for us to grow up along with the characters' development, but still I tend to consider Harry Potter as teenager and adult reading only. C.S. Lewis chronicles are subtler and more suitable for kids. Thank you for sharing with us. Wonderful poem! :-)
Sorry for the typo, we do NOT bash Christians. Anything we do requires us to cause harm to NO ONE, in any way, shape, or form.
Christians say that us Wiccans are evil, yet we do bash Christians for their faith or beliefs. However, anything even remotely related to Wicca or Witchcraft is labeled as evil. Why is it evil to honor the Earth which feeds us and provides us with a home? How is it evil to love the Moon and Sun? As for spells, Witches do NOT do anything that would ever cause harm to another and Witches have nothing to do with the Devil. The Devil is a Christian-made concept. So, how can one who does not believe in the Christian God believe in the Devil. I really do feel sorry for all of you close-minded people who are so judgmental (which is against the teachings of the Bible).
