With just 8 days left until the final Harry Potter book, 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' goes on sale fans, both children and adults are excitedly waiting to get their hands a on a copy, hide away where they won't be disturbed and experience the magic that this story brings to millions around the world.

With the release of a Harry Potter books comes numerous midnight parties in the US and around the world. Fans head to their local bookstore and participate in the party atmosphere until the store is allowed to put the book on sale. Hartford area Barnes and Noble Midnight Potter Parties.
Barnes and Noble one of the largest bookstores in the US will be hosting Potter Party at many of their Hartford area stores on Friday July 20.

The party is being called 'Midnight Magic Party' and includes fun Harry Potter themed activities to enjoy. Besides a numbers of magical activities fans can have the chance to win prizes including posters, key chains and other fun Harry Potter gear. There will also be some items given away during the Harry Potter party. Many of the characters from the books will be on hand for photo ops and everyone is encouraged to put on their best Harry Potter costume.

Borders Books & Music
Borders stores around the country are hosting a Grand Hallows Balls at many of its stores around the country, including those in the Hartford area. The Grand Hallows Ball will begin at 9 or 9:30pm on July 20. The event will include costume contests, Harry Potter themed games and great giveaways. Copies of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' will be released at midnight.

Stew Leonard's Harry Potter Party
Small supermarket chain Stew Leonard's is hosting a fun filled Harry Potter party at its stores. Connecticut stores hosting the Harry Potter Party are located in Newington, Norwalk and Danbury.

At the Norwalk and Danbury locations the party will be held outside at the stores Hoedown Grill area. At the Newington store the Harry Potter party will be held in the Hayloft dining area.

The parties begin at 10pm where fans will find a simulation of Hogwarts set up that will include craft making such a creating book marks, hat making and wand making. There will free tasty treats available to keep little wizards going until midnight.

There will also be a costume contest for children where the prizes include a Harry Potter movie basket and books.

At midnight 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' will be handed out and each customer will receive a free one-litre bottle of Pepsi with their book. Books will cost $19.99.

After all the books are handed out there will be a special book reading from the first chapter of the final book.
