Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Shines in Japan
The World Premier of the 5th Movie was a Hit in Tokyo
Harry Potter is in such high demand around the globe, that it's been translated into 65 different languages. Due to this many Japan fans have arisen, which is where the world premier of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was held.
Hundreds of Japanese fans in Tokyo gathered for this exclusive event on Thursday, June 28th. Known for their love of dressing up in costume, they surely didn't disappoint. Many were dressed as students of Hogwarts, Witches, and Wizards.
Excitement roared when Danial Radcliffe, the actor for Harry Potter, hit the smoke filled stage. He spoke a few basic words in Japanese to show his appreciation to the fans before the film began rolling. Silence filled the room as many enthusiastic people had their eyes glued to the screen with anticipation.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the 5th movie from the series. This was also the longest book out of the five, which unfortunately means that some pieces had to be taken out of the film. The casts remains firm however that the film still does the book great justice and won't disappoint.
In this movie you can expect to find it all. New characters, closer encounters with Voldemort, and a love interest for Harry Potter. No worries though for the fans of the beloved Hermione, Ron, and Harry as they are still the same faces you've grown to adore. Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Daniel Radcliffe have already signed contracts for the final two films as well.
Some have already expressed that this film has a much "darker" feel to it versus the prior movies in the series. It falls towards a more serious atmosphere as the battle against Lord Voldemort nears. He has finally awaken, and disaster is brewing in the air.
You can expect this box topper to hit America on July 11th and will follow to premier in Britain the next day. Tickets can be purchased in advance at some theaters to avoid missing your chance to see the movie on opening night. Many showings will most likely be sold out if you do not pre-order or arrive early to the film. Fandango is a great site where you can purchase these tickets early, or you may want to try calling your local theater. Some will offer a discounted ticket rate if you order early.
