But in truth, Harry Reid's racist comments shouldn't really strike anyone by surprise. Oh, sure, maybe the one or two true-believers who still watch MSNBC or read the NY Times will find it confusing why a supposedly minority-helping Democrat used such vile, racist implications when talking about Barack Obama. As a matter of fact, let's just have a quick recap of what Harry "Foot-in-Mouth" Reid said that's got everyone oh-so hot and bothered!
But for the rest of us who are smart and, say, perhaps watch FNC, we've known all along that the Democrats-who love dividing people by race, gender, etc.. into voting blocs-are really quite racist. This is not limited to isolated incidents, but, rather, is widespread and common among many prominent Democrats throughout their party's history! It's just that you may've not heard a lot about this because the mainstream media, being the Dem lapdogs they are, just doesn't cover this.
Fear not, though. This is where I will step in to even the score a tiny bit by giving specific examples and name by name the list of Democrats who've said or done racist things! Ready? Alright!!! Hang on, now, for here we go!! Remember, that this isn't a complete list by any means, just the ones I feel have the most relevance at this time.
1. Former Senator Ernest Hollings. Hollings-who along with the recently quitting Chris Dodd sure as heck make great cases for term limits-has a seemingly uncontrollable urge to make racially disparaging comments against minorities as well as hurt them with actions. He opposed lunch counter integration in the 60s as well as attended a meeting by segregationist Democrats who opposed civil rights. Additionally, he's also called the Rainbow PUSH Coalition the "Blackbow Coalition." In 1984, when he lost the Iowa Straw Poll, he blamed Hispanics-whom he called "wetbacks"-for coming into Iowa and voting for his opponents. In 1993, at a Geneva conference, he made racially disparaging remarks about the Africa Delegation. Being a Democrat, he got away scot-free with all these violations, "serving" in the Senate until 2005!
2. Former House Democrat Minority Leader Dick Gephardt. Gephardt used to give speeches before St. Louis-area white supremacist groups. Not happy with only speaking before them, he also asked a white supremacist, hate group for an actual endorsement of his candidacy at one point in his career. Being a Democrat, he got away with this mischief since the liberal media left him alone!
3. Clinton former Housing Secretary Andrew Cuomo. Cuomo, while trying to build opposition to Democrat primary opponent Carl McCall, a black man, actually made provocative, race-based allegations towards McCall. He even lied about it to conceal it, but a tape apparently surfaced of the incident.
4. Senator Robert Byrd. Perhaps the most infamous of all Democrat racists due to his high-ranking membership in the Ku Klux Klan, in which he "rose" to the rank of "Kleagle," which means he was an official Klan recruiter. Aside from his hardcore resentment of civil rights-proven by his leading of the filibuster of the 1964 Civil Rights Act-he's been so unabashed to use racial slurs on national TV. In 2001, he actually used the n-word in an interview with Tony Snow on Fox News Sunday. Again, no consequences for this Democrat as his portrait hangs in the Senate!
5. Senator Chris Dodd. Dodd described Robert Byrd, while lauding him, as someone who was "right" during the conflict of civil war in America. As usual, the liberal media covered-up for one of their own here as Dodd never took heat for this!
I could literally go on ad infinitum, but...haha...I want to keep this short for easy reading purposes! I guess when the founder of the Democrat Party-President Andrew Jackson-was a racist himself who said of blacks getting the right to vote that it would "place every splay-footed, bandy-shanked, hump-backed, thick-lipped, flat-nosed, woolly-headed, ebon-colored Negro in the country upon an equality with the poor white man," then it sets the bar quite low for who can be a Democrat! And, thus, we get Harry Reid making racist comments involving Obama!

Mr. Reinstein, what are you talking about? How would you like it if ugly Harry Reed wanted to bake you and your family in an oven? Racism is a sin, no matter who is spouting it. It is prevalent in both the democratic and republican parties. Marc Schenker, are you a racist? Could you please answer this question?
Racism isn't a party issue, it's a human issue. You know as well as everybody else racism isn't prevalent in the democratic OR republican party.
Cont: so-called "minorities" to the ultimate degree. The label alone is an exploitation.
Carol's comment alone shows exactly why "racism" lives and breathes. Why could you not simply say from the "people" not from the "whites"? I have in my life encountered more "racism" from the mouths of those who yell the loudest about racism. It is a two way street and the stop signs should be for either direction. Teach your children from the day they are born that the color of their skin does not define them or their paths, their actions alone do so. Give them no excuse for bad behavior, no cop outs, then perhaps in a generation or two change may be seen. Also, "special interest" groups are an insult to the very people they profess to support. Whenever you say or think you need to give any group special privileges or help over others, you are essentially being "racist". You are saying these people are incapable of doing things on their own. People have been fooled and led to heel by a Party made up of people who wanted a new control of America, and this party has exploited the so-cal
It's really true how the fake-assed Dem elitists get away with lying, hypocrisy, and all manner of things. I've been involved with boxing "kids" for a long time, and most of the people around me are black or hispanic and there's not a white liberal volunteer who comes down to help or contribute money. They're terrified of reality, and don't involve themselves in it, but feel quite licensed to call all Republicans racists.
Very well written and thought provoking.
Very interesting, well written thought provoking article. However, I often wonder why those who think racism is such a bad thing have no problem with force feeding pseudo-scientific evolutionism to young people with no possibility of hearing any other point of view. Evolution is intrinsically, irredeemably racist and has ever since Darwin given it the air of scientific truth.
Does not surprise me coming from the West Va. senator being as my father was as well he tried to teach all his kids, but I did not learn much from him in that area.
Interesting story!
