Christian Slater was the main star in The Forgotten. Slater heads up The Forgotten network that helps solve the mystery of unsolved murders. The show added Elisha Cuthbert, formerly of 24, just in the past few episodes.
According to one television insider, the season finale won't even air. ABC may be pulling the plug on Tuesday, March 16th according to The Live Feed.
Viewers will be surprised to see The Forgotten end so abruptly. I am sure many fans will not even hear the news that the show was cancelled since it was scheduled to end its first season on March 23 anyway. Will The Forgotten join another network like the NBC show Southland? Is there a possibility this show could be matched with a cable television network? The Forgotten on cable?
Certainly anything is possible but the writers and producers will have to employ something new to draw more fans. The show could be a decent "get" for a TNT or SYFY looking to add original programming with an already established small fan base. The obvious question is whether Christian Slater would be game for such a move?
Even Christian Slater probably knows when to hop off a sinking ship. Could that ship be resurrected on TNT, TBS or one of the many other cable channels? It's not out of the realm of possibility that we haven't seen the end of The Forgotten.
ABC certainly didn't waste a lot of time on pulling the plug and cancelling the show before the first season was in the books. Television shows are getting a lot less time these days to make an impact before going by the wayside on the four major networks. The Forgotten wasn't one of the absolute best shows on television but it filled a different crime show niche. I wouldn't rule out the possible comeback of the show if there is any backlash from ABC cancelling the show. The big test will be the potential backlash and public outcry from this decision. If there isn't much, then The Forgotten will simply assume it's name.

I really like "The Forgotten"! It's interesting to watch and better than most shows on TV these days! It's certainly better than shows about vampires, violent murderers and rapists!
I really like The Forgotten and will follow it where it might move to. It should be retained for sure. Each actor really did well and I liked the latest edition and never really got to see her totally involved. ABC has really goofed if they do let this show go. It seem like a perfect CBS show though and would probably be successful.
How can we save it????
