The movie "Betrayed" starring Debra Winger and Tom Berenger actually was about an FBI agent who infiltrates a Klanlike white supremacist organization, according to a synopsis of the movie. But what got my nerves on edge was the particular lifestyle of Berenger's character. Being a white supremacist, Berenger's character was teaching his family hatred; they had camps where they would not only train other members of their society, but their children had to attend 'school' as well, learning to hate, kill and destroy.
This made me realize that there are truly people out here that are so filled with hate, but why? And to go as far as to learning your children to hate, unnerved me even more!
There was a scene in the movie where Berenger and his organization went 'hunting'; not just an ordinary hunt, but a hunt where they would chase down a black person and kill them in the dark woods...I don't want to get too opinionated on this, because this is not the point I'm trying to get across. But I will state there has got to be some large capacities of groups who not only support this type of living, and are probably more than that who are actually living this lifestyle. My question is this: Is this even justified by our justice system? I've heard and witnessed reported 'Hate Crimes' and the laws against it, but when does this actually take affect? Does it only adhere to person-to-person? Or does it extend to large groups such as the 'Klans'...?
Which leads to my subject: Is this type of hatred taught? The children of Berenger's character were learned that they had to fight for a pure nation/world; that the Blacks, Jews and other 'different' people were taking over.....but how do you instill in that child the fact of true love? Also, if one is learning about the love of Christ, how can that love be teamed up with hate? Does love have boundaries?
And for those who may disagree with me stating that 'we're all children of God'...Try this on for size:
Needless to say, Winger's character ended up killing Berenger's character in the movie, but it still leaves no conclusion for real life and the issue of the hatred. Records have shown the masses of murdered people; innocent, but killed for their skin color, beliefs, or associations and believe it or not, the numbers are rapidly growing. In order for this to even be acknowledged, more less ratified-we must take a stand against it. And the first place to start would be within our households.MalachiMalachi 2:10(Whole Chapter)

Enough said!

Post a CommentI think depending on the way a child is raised makes a diference when they grow up if HATRED will play a key role in their life, it's sad that any parent would teach their child to Hate or be a Racist*
I truly can feel you Davidson...It's such a sad thing!
Thanx for stopping by!
It is sad that children are taught to be hateful, violent, and ignorant by their parents. My ex-in-laws taught their children to repeat racial slurs before they were old enough to know what they were saying. It truly disgusted me.
