Dungeon of Doom is held at the Arlington Museum of Art, with all of the profit going to support the museum's children's art education programs. But don't mistake this haunt for a mild kid amusement. The dark and disquieting basement houses gory thrills for all who dare to enter. The attraction will be open starting September 28th in 2007 and each weekend through October 28th, as well as October 29th through 31st. Tickets are $15 for adults with special discounts available. Additional information and online ticket ordering is available on the Dungeon of Doom website.

The Boneyard is the largest walk through haunted house in the world, measuring over half a mile long. Spine-tingling chills, high energy music, great food, and fun games await in this indoor haunt. The last time I went into a "haunted" attraction I was with my sister, who kept pushing me into the walls (which had all manner of things hanging on them) to get away from the ghosts, goblins and other things that go bump in the night. I came out of there bruised and with the thought that I would never ever do that again.
