San Antonio, Texas is home to this hotel
Sallie White is a name people know well
Killed in the 1800s by her husband's hands
He accused her of being with another man
The hotel paid 32 dollars, laying her to rest
But her restless spirit is still seen by guests
She still wears the uniform from years ago
Roaming the hallways with no place to go
One guest asked her for towels one day
He said she was rude, with nothing to say
He was told it was a spirit; she was not real
I wonder how that made the man feel
The Menger Hotel is a great place to go
In the Alamo Plaza, in San Antonio
If you need towels, call a chambermaid
But it might be Sallie- so call her by name.
