Hauntings: Signs to Look For

FlutterBy
Hauntings can occur anywhere. They can be in churches, houses, hospitals, schools, hotels and buildings of all types. However hauntings are not just confined to buildings. They can happen outside without any buildings nearby. The energy contributing or creating the haunting might be attached to a location that is connected with the entities past.

This location can change over time but the exact location of the haunting will remain the same. For instance, a house might burn down and over time a new will be built. Then that house might be torn down and a business is then erected over the same location. The entity might only see things the way they were when (or if) it was ever alive.

There is no blue print for a haunting. There can be multiple or just a couple of signs. Some cases are severe while others are taken light heartedly. Not all paranormal entities are dangerous but some are. So how do you know which one you have?

There are some typical signs of a haunting and these include

1. Knocking, scratching or noises coming from the walls, floor or ceiling

2. Voices can be heard in whispers or like someone was standing right next to you

3. Cold spots occur when an entity is close by (Cold spots normally do not cover an entire room. That is why its called a cold spot and not a cold room.)

4. Objects will go missing and then reappear

5. If outside, ghost lights can sometimes be seen

6. If you have pets they might start barking or hissing at the air when nothing is there.

The signs mentioned above are normally the first ones to be noticed. The person who spends the most amount of time in a haunted location is usually the first person to notice something weird is going on.

Signs that the entity means you harm:

1. It interrupts your sleep a lot and comes around mostly at night usually around the same time.

2. You feel scared and uneasy in certain rooms of your house

3. You might wake up with unexplained scratches or bite marks

4. Someone in the house has a drastic change in behavior. This can be anyone but those most susceptible are the children and teenagers in the home.

5. You sense that something is there. (Some people underestimate their own intuition. Don't let this happen to you.)

If the entity is attracted to a location then normally a single person won't be affected. You will be scared and annoyed at the occurrences but it won't target a single person. If the entity has developed an attraction or connection with just one person they will be the one to experience most of the symptoms of a haunting. Their personality might change and they might start acting differently.

Here are a few indicators to watch for:

1. Increased irritability

2. Insomnia or sleeplessness

3. Chronic or sudden illnesses

4. Depression and/or isolation

All of the signs I have mentioned in my article don't necessarily mean your house is haunted. There are plausible explanations however its really up to you to determine if something is going on and you need to contact a paranormal research team.

If you are unsure then contact one anyway. They can help you determine if an entity is present or if there are rational explanations for the occurrences. If a single person is being affected then take them to the Dr. Make sure its not a mental health issue which unfortunately does make people more paranoid and prone to believe that an entity is after them.
