While some things in life may come easily, others don't and those are the things that get us down. We feel like there's no hope, or like we don't deserve the things we want. We can fall into a pit of despair, believing that we can never make things change. It simply isn't true.
If we put our minds and hearts into changing ourselves and our lives, we can make it happen. Maybe it won't happen as fast as we'd like, but so long as we never give up, we can achieve our goals. It's also important never to let people tell you that you can't do something, or that it's stupid. Even if something turns out to be a bad idea in the end, you have the right to go after your dreams and desires. People who truly care for you will not try to hold you back from something unless they fear it will cause you or someone else real harm.
Now, believing in yourself and going for what you want is all well and good, but you also need to keep something in mind. If what you go after doesn't work out, you need to learn from the experience, and take that knowledge on to the next thing you do. There are some things that we want, which aren't really right for us. Have faith in yourself and your abilities, and believe that you can do things, but if you fail, don't let it be a hollow defeat. Use the experience to make you stronger and smarter for your next go-round.
Embrace Your Faith
For many people, faith is the cornerstone of their lives. If you have faith, it is important to maintain it and use it to help you on the path to a better life.
Some uses of faith are obvious, like leaning on the members of your congregation of faith group for emotional support and life guidance. Having people with a common spiritual path to talk to can be a great comfort in the hard times that follow a major life change.
You faith can also help you to become a better person. Regardless of your faith, most belief systems encourage you to mold yourself in the image of your deity, and to be a good person to yourself and to others. Use the texts of your faith to help you see the qualities that you should have, and as a guide to attain them.
If you don't have a faith, this may be a good time to find one. As you are learning who you are and who you want to become, you will be open to new ideas, and you may be able to lead yourself to the faith which is right for you. Once you find it, that faith and the people you will meet can help you along.
In practicing your faith, you can also find the strength and peace you will need to achieve your goals. Your spirituality can be an aid in overcoming your hardships and fears, and give you hope for a better future.
