Have a Feast at La Fiesta Mexicana in Janesville, Wisconsin

Hello I am writing today to tell you about my personal favorite restaurant in my area, La Fiesta Mexicana. It is situated in the back of a Mexican store on main street in Janesville, WI. It reminds you of the kind of run down place that truckers dream of. With the kitchen right next to the dining area; but with a flare for decoration and atmosphere. Dont let that detour you. It is small but quaint. You'll feel at home as soon as you sit down!

The first time I visited was from a friends recommendation. I ordered 5 taco's and a burrito, all steak. I soon realized that this wasn't the taco bell fare, it was actually real food, and real good at that! The taco's had the choicest of tomatoes, i thought they had been picked that morning. the corn tortilla and onions and chives mixed with the hottest of hot sauces all combined to form a new experience for me - good Mexican food. I had been to many Mexican restaurants in the past and had all but given up when i found this diamond in the rough. The people who work there are friendly and work diligently to make you there #1 priority. And talk about fast food, they get your orders out faster than most Mcdonald's. They also offer a wide selection of Nectar's and juices. I almost forgot to tell you about the burrito. For $3.50 you can have a meal in one. A 2lb burrito with tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, onions, and a flour tortilla with that oh so good steak. Steak that you can't buy in any store, except here.

I soon realized that after I ate a couple taco's and half the burrito i was full, and i hadn't even spent $10. So you and your significant other could have a good time on a budget. I went everyday after that for a week and go atleast 2-3 times a week now with my fiancee. They also serve chicken and pork etc as well as every part of the animal like head tongue as per request. They have an in house butcher shop where they cut all the meat themselves, and the quality really shows.

The only complaint i had was that when i went in the afternoon, they were flooded with customers. Which i guess is a testament to their quality. Although i would wait all day for a chance to eat just one burrito! You could go to Ponderosa or Prime Quarter but if you want the best food in town at a cheap price, Then stop by La Fiesta Mexicana next time you're in downtown Janesville.
