Have Fun Myspace Doodling for Your Friends

Zach
First, it was on Facebook with over eight and a half million artists but now you can get it on MySpace too. This nice little program on MySpace is called Graffiti and guess what... you can now legally paint some graffiti and show it to all your friends. I'll tell you a little more about this program in this tutorial.

If you've got MySpace open and are logged in go here or just click the link and login: http://www.myspace.com/drawgraffiti. If you are there you can see a nice little demonstration of the MySpace app with position and speed settings. Click Add This App and then when the install box pops up click Add. Ready to get your graffiti on?

You have two main options here. Draw will clear anything you have drawn on the canvas so be careful with that. Invite your friends will just send a bulletin asking that your friends get the program too. But we want to draw right?

The brush preview indicates how big your writing tool is going to be. The width slider can make it bigger or smaller depending on your preference. Opacity effects how see through it will be. You can't necessarily make it transparent but it will be pretty light. And then there is the color where you can choose the color your tool will draw in. You can use the white color to get some lighter tints or the white can be used to cover up some mistakes you made. You have to go over it three times to totally erase all the color.

The undo button will undo your last action. Now what does that mean? When you press down the mouse button the app will start a sequence and when you lift up on the clicker it will finish that sequence so that last sequence of pressing the mouse button will be undone. You can undo as many times as you want. Start over is fairly obvious, it erases everything you have done on the canvas. And then you have the done button which will actually save your artwork. After it is saved you have a list of friends that you can send your MySpace graffiti to.

If you want to put some graffiti on your own MySpace profile go to your profile and click "Draw me graffiti" and then you will go to a page that says "Draw for" and then your name. As soon as you click done it will be posted in your profile's graffiti box for everyone to see.
