Celebrate a Green New Year's Eve at the Phipps Conservatory in Schenley Park. This family oriented celebration includes everything from live music to games and crafts encompassing the theme of nature and the environment.

The festivities begin at 6:00 pm on December 31st with a noise maker, prize bag, and program waiting for guests at the Welcome Center. Caribbean Vibe, a steel drum band, will provide live entertainment until 9 pm.

Several craft activities include making a recycled envelope, a flower out of plastic shopping bags, recycled jewelry, and pot-a-plant to take home. There will also be carnival style games such as duck pond, wheel of prizes, and face painting for all to enjoy.

In the Healer's Hut, create New Year's Resolutions and be a part of history by placing them in the Phipps time capsule.

With refreshments and a special early countdown at 8:45 pm, this is one celebration families will enjoy and remember for many years to come.
