Have Kids? You've Got to Go Here

Okay, me and my husband just visited this place for a quick two night trip and we loved it! (After all we're all just kids at heart right?) It's this amazing lodge/resort that holds an indoor water park that is open all year round. They have everything from huge tube slides to an indoor wave pool, and even a lazy river. There is also tons of things for kids to do, since it is focused around them anyway. They have story times, an arcade, MajicQuest, crafts, and even a kid centered beauty parlor called Scoops (as in ice cream) where girls can get manicures and pedicures and such. The one I visited had two restaurants, a pizza hut express, and a cafe with ice cream and pastries and such. The room rates are actually very reasonable, depending on when you go. They can range anywhere from 134.00 a night to close to 400.00 a night, depending on the room size and number of people. The great thing is that the room price includes your water park pass', and you even get a pass on the day that you leave, even though check-out is at 11:00 am. In other words, me and my husband payed for two nights and received water park passes for 3 days.

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean, which is more than I can say for some other places that we have stayed. When it comes to the food, I would suggest that you go outside of the lodge, but that is up to you. The one thing that I wasn't impressed with was the food in the restaurants at the lodge. I thought that it was too expensive for what you got, but again that is up to you. We didn't have our kids with us so it was a little bit different when it came to food. Just to let you know, they have 10 great locations, including Williamsburg Va, Grand Mound WA, Grapevine TX, Kansas City KS, Manson Ohio, Niagara Falls Canada, Pocono Mountains PA, Sandusky OH, Traverse City MI, and Wisconsin Dells WI. So if you are looking for somewhere fun to take the kids, or even want a fun getaway for yourself, you have got to check this place out.
