Have a Valentine's Day Date Online

Don't Let Distance Ruin Your Valentine's Day!

If you're in a long distance relationship during Valentine's Day, there's still hope for a great date on that day.

In this article I will walk you through the steps you must take to have a nice Valentine's Day date even if it's only through the computer. Remember that you can always add or take out the things that don't seem appropriate for you and your sweetheart. Enjoy!

1. Plan ahead.
Do your research and gather all the links, graphics, multimedia that you're going to use. There are a lot of things that you can do to have a date online. Consider watching a video that you both have, or finding one online that you will both enjoy. You can also decide to play games, or just do something that you both enjoy such as finding information on things you want to do someday as a couple or when you're back together. In order to avoid spending time finding these sorts of things, start early and plan ahead. Open a notepad and write down the websites you will visit that night together.

2. Send invitation.
Send an email or e-card invitation with details to your loved one inviting them or asking them if they would like to have a date with you on Valentine's Day. Let he/she know that you have taken time to plan a very special evening and you'd love their company for an hour or two if possible. You can try coming up with a cute way to ask in an email or you can find a cute e-card to say the words you can't. You can find great Valentine's Day e-cards completely for free at www.123greetings.com.

3. Begin Date.
To start your romantic evening you should meet in a chat space where the two of you can communicate throughout the night. Once you two have met and you're ready to start your date, let her/him know that you have sent something by email and that they should check it out. Make sure to send a "thank you for coming" or some flowers or candy; this is sure to bring smiles and excitement about the date. Once you have done that, start off your date. Let the other know what you will be doing and perhaps have some dinner at the same time while you're doing it. If you're at a loss as to what to do, you can always just have some food and have a nice meaningful chat.

4. End date.
Once you have finished your date you can either send a nice voice note if you have a microphone, you can make a call to say goodnight, or in combination with either of those things you can find a graphic with kisses or hugs and send it by email or through a messenger. Make sure to give thanks and tell your loved one how grateful you are for he/she taking the time to have an online date with you for Valentine's Day. Express your sorrow for not being able to be with them, and hope for a closer to each other next Valentine's Day.
