Have a Valentine's Day Wedding in Tennessee

Start Your Married Life in a Wedding Chapel in the Smoky Mountains

Abby Greenhill
When most people think of wedding chapels they automatically think of Las Vegas. In Vegas you can have a quick ceremony with an Elvis impersonator serenading you, while you say your two minute vows in a chapel with neon lights and plastic flowers. Many jokes and stand up comics use the Vegas wedding chapels as fodder for their acts. There is something for everyone! If that is not what you are looking for, try another area of the United States for a unique wedding chapel. What about the Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee?

If you are thinking about a wedding chapel for a Valentine's Day wedding, think nature, pine trees, log cabins, creek side locations and the beautiful Smoky Mountains as a backdrop. You won't find one neon light in Gatlinburg, but you will find quaint wedding chapels nestled within the beauty of nature and the majestic Smoky Mountains with snow glistening at the peak of Mount Le Conte, 6593 feet in the air.

Very good ideas for weddings and that Cabin in the woods is gorgeous. I never realized that was such a popular place for weddings. Good write up.

Prices sure have shot up from the days of "Li'l Abner," where the standard Dogpatch wedding was $2, and the super-deluxe package was all of $8.
