Have We Seen Kris Allen's Last Performance on May 5 American Idol?
The one thing that always helps Kris is that he plays an instrument and it can deflect the attention a little bit when he has a subpar performance. He needed it on Tuesday night as he just seemed a little off. While it was not a horrible performance, it was far from his best.
His one saving grace may be that Danny Gokey absolutely laid an egg. His rendition of Dream On was borderline pathetic. He had no chance of hitting the final notes and he absolutely opened up the door for everyone else to walk through. Danny is going to get his fans vote, but he will not get the vote of people that watching the show and judging on the best performance.
So what are we looking at? The best guess here is that you have both Tuesday Night duets on opposite ends of the stage and unfortunately for Kris, he is going to be on short end of it. This is going to come down to him and Danny and if he has enough support to get past him? He has been in the bottom three a couple of times and you have to take that into consideration as to who is going to move on.
Kris' performance was good enough to keep him alive, but he is probably going to come up short on the votes this week. He needed to be better than Allison and he wasn't. Danny has an army behind him that any country would be proud to go to war with and unfortunately, Kris is probably going to be sent home. Does he deserve to go based on this week's performance? Absolutely not, but the reality of it is that he just does not have the votes behind him to carry him on subpar performances.

As Gokey started to SCRRRREEEAAMMM the last note, Paula who was dancing, sat abruptly soo scared of that Friday the 13th screaming note.
Kara tried so hard not to burst out laughing while Randy was giving the critique.
It was crystal clear Gokey was delusional to think he can get away with it. His arrogance shows that his belief in himself not accepting it was bad as Simon says that he has to watch it again. I don't know if his smugness is due to immaturity he thinks the world is at the palm of his hand being pimped always by the judges even last night no matter how bad he did. Or he is just shallow, that his solid voting blocks get into his head, he thinks he's on top of the world. Get real, Gokey. You're not great. You're only one dimensional.

We were all dying of laughter at horrible Gokey!!! He was trying to clone Adam as he himself said he's been learning from the performance of some one he didn't want to name. Everyone already has a clue who.
And last night he confirmed it and trying so hard: from looking and following the camera, to the swagger in the stage, to conducting the band, trying to thank the band (with hand gestures when Ryan was talking with him and Kris), the handling of the mic, and the almost kneeling while mimicking the signature "passaggio" of Adam!!!
But OMG! What HORROR!!! What a DISASTER!!! He totally completely failed miserably! It's the scream from Silence of the Lamb! We could not stop laughing.
