Having Fun in the Neighborhood
Agoura Hills, Westlake Village, Calabasas and surrounding cities offer a new flavor for a night out of fun in the neighborhood.
The neighborhood is changing and the population in the vicinity has been varying due to new companies as THQ, universities as Cal Lutheran located in Thousand Oaks. Pepperdine is located in Malibu down the road and some branches of Pepperdine that locate in Westlake Village for MBA program, Cal State Channel Island among junior colleges as Moorpark College, Oxnard College and Ventura College.
Therefore many young professionals and singles live in the neighborhood that provides a safe and a healthier community environment.
About ten years ago and more, in order to have a fun time had to commute all the way to Hollywood or any other posh place in Beverly Hills far away to have fun.
Sagebrush as known by the locals was and still is a nice and eclectic place to hang out for offering a youth and laid back flare. Sagebrush Cantina has been in the area for more than thirty years. During the weekends, the parking zone of the restaurant was full of motorcycles, good-looking men and women. It resembled a scene of a movie of a mix of a saloon doors and Harley Davidson motorcycle. The first time I went there with a friend of mine who loved it so much that it became our first stop every time we went out every weekend back in the late 90's. Sagebrush Cantina is located in Calabasas and the food is a delicious experience. For people who watch The Kardashians Show, they always meet at the Sagebrush Cantina. It is a great place to meet to talk whether during the day for a lunch or dinner with friends or business meeting.
Sagebrush Cantina opens Monday - Friday at 11AM, Saturday Breakfast 8 AM until 12 PM, Saturday Regular Menu starts at 11 AM, Sunday Brunch at 9AM and Sunday Regular Menu at 2PM.
The new now old club is Blue and now Blue Ultra Lounge a more comfortable or posh version of the club. The New Year party 2006-2007 was an amazing experience to me. The people were so into the fun and to have a good time in mind. There were not expectations regarding of having a great time for a New Year evening party. It was a superb surprise! There are amazing and fun events at Blue throughout the year. The Blue goers have fun and dancing shoes in mind. The DJs are fantastic and it is impossible not to move. The people are friendly! The Blue is located in Agoura Hills.
The other place that became my "must stop" for having great people and a mix of youth and sophisticated place is MOZ BUDDHA LOUNGE. It is also located in Agoura Hills and it's been popular stop for happy hour to me for about two years. Every night there's a live band playing and different events. The people are very friendly; Buddha transmits a familiarity sense as Blue. As if I'd be going a party at a friend's house.
Last year, I attended the Halloween party. The band was great and the people danced. There's a hookah lounge and the vibrant people who want to have a great time dancing and laughing. They host the most vibrant happy hour in Agoura Hills to my knowledge. Every Friday night they host a Shabu night of dance with different themes and Djs.
The Moz Buddha Lounge and Blue has been my favorite for more than two years. Buddha is still my favorite of all for the live band, the food and vibe. But there're other lounges as Bamboo nonstop dance vibe with many beautiful young people and Canyon Club. They are located in Agoura Hills as well. I went once to Bamboo and I enjoyed immensely the amazing Japanese dishes, the interior design and the friendly atmosphere.
