Thrift Store Shopping Can Be a Fun Hobby

Without a doubt Goodwill Easter Seals Thrift stores are my absolute favorite because they are friendly, clean, organized, fairly priced, and throughout the United States. Those and other local thrift stores that are close enough to Brookville, Ohio include other favorites of ours as we do thrifty and fun shopping:

1)GOODWILL EASTER SEALS MIAMI VA

606 Taywood Rd, Englewood, OH
Zip Code
45322
7.0MI from Brookville

Goodwill Easter Seals in Englewood has the greatest employees with the brightest smiles and helpful natures when we shop or donate it is a pleasure. We are always greeted with sincere hello's and "thanks for shopping at Goodwill. " Sadly, Englewood store may be closing which greatly saddens us. So we may have to travel into the Dayton store on Kuntz Road which is also tremendous with their welcoming response, great deals and specials. Some examples of shopping at Goodwill Easter Seals stores would be to tell you about a couple of our experiences. First of all, on a windy rainy cold day we had the unusal desire to clean out two of our walk in closets. We always donate clothing and household goods we had not used in the past 2 years. We packed everything in newspaper and boxed them up for a total of 3 boxes of glass items, 4 of clothing, and 3 of misc. and by the time we got to Goodwill Easter Seals on Taywwod in Englewood, Ohio the rain turned to a downpour.

Our donations included a game table and all the boxes that had no lids; so when we got there everything including us were drenched. As we pulled up to the parking lot, a smiling young man waved at us and motioned for us to back up to the side walk; he was waiting in his oversized rain coat to help us unload our donations. As we got out of the truck he said, "Thanks so for visiting Goodwill Easter Seals we are so happy to see you neighbors, here let me help you please." It was such a joy to see his friendly face and hear his neighborly words -that being drenched was worth it all. This down to earth kind young man told us," Please visit our great store and get out of the rain to get warm and thank you again for visiting us at Goodwill Easter Seals Store in Englewood. Our rainy stormy moods were lighter and happier because of him. As we shopped to dry off we found outstanding deals which included a strong sturdy double reinforced umbrella that the friendly salesperson pointed out to us as one of the bargains that day. Our first and last thrift store shopping will always be Goodwill Easter Seals stores no matter which state they are in as we travel.

2). Albert's Antiques and Collectables 234 Market Street Brookville, OH 45309-1819 is our favorite store to shop for bargains of collectables and antiques because it is the most charming small shop within walking distance of our home in Brookville. We love shopping here and we find great deals such as the 3 Blue Bird Pie pans that we had looked for over 10 years. They are friendly, welcoming, and interested in making sure your shopping experience is a good one. They put your name in for drawings, have excellent quality for great prices and are willing to tell you what is coming into the store from week to week . They are very informative about antiques and collectables, bargains and deals. We just love our new thrifty Albert's Antiques and Collectables store and so happy they chose Brookville, Ohio.

3). We really enjoy thrift shopping at Saint Francis ThriftStore Inc. Phone: (937) 223-0007 on Diamond Mill Road Brookvile, OH www.manta.com/c/mm4dhqc/saint-francis-thrift-store-inc .
We love the people who wait on us because they are up on all the deals and specials, are so very friendly, and close to home. Their thrift store is amazing with how clean and well presented their items are for very reasonable prices. It is so pleasurable to thrift shop here.

4) Last but certainly not least we also shop frequently at Village Discount Outlet at 3880 Linden Ave in Eastown Shopping Center. We love the color coded discount days, the huge choices in almost brand new and brand new clothing and accessories, enormous values in household items that are unque, large amounts of knick knacks for all occassions, and how fair their prices are and the speed of their check out. Sometimes it is a little different which is fun when the stocking person does not speak English but the cashiers and the management have been very helpful as they speak English and are happy to assist. Recently we picked out a large piece of luggage for $10.00 that was in excellent shape and the cashier said, "This has an green sticker and it is half Price:), next I got 3 new bed spreads for 3.00 dollars each that were very clean, the right color, appeared to have Downy feathers, and a quilt for $ 2.00 both of which were on sales, 3 pair of sweat pants that fit and looked new for $4.00 each on half price sale, 2 new belts for $1.00 each, and a pewter planter for 75 cents half price. We saved so much we took the rest of our Thrifty Shopping funds and ate lunch at Hasty Tasty. You just can not beat their parking, quality, sales, and organization of so many products.

Thankfully one of our favorite hobbies is Thrift Shopping and we were both raised in Dayton, Ohio.We visit often in Dayton, Ohio and surrounding areas and join our neighbors as local thrifty hobbyists for absolute joy of getting bargains, finding unusual knick knacks, and having money left over that we save for "rainy days" :)
