Having Sex on the Astral Plane

One of my clients who is also a friend recently recounted something that happened to her. Whilst she was making love with her lover she felt she had a visitation from an ex lover. She was very confused by this event and she sought my advice.
She wanted to know what had happened - why it happend and what it meant.

The astral plane can be likened to another parallel type of existence. It is a place where our spirits often freely roam and even rejuvenate themselves. The other night I was watching a documentary about the temperatures at which certain gases freeze. Around about a billionth or something above 'absolute zero' atoms do something odd; they lose their individuality and it is a bit like everything becomes everything else all at the same time (Einstein's Bose condensate). This description given by the narrator made me feel that it was a good analogy that could be applied to the 'collective unconscious' that is somewhat related to the astral plane.
As an aside many famous science physicists such as the likes of Einstein had some very interesting things to say about matters metaphysical and it is worth reading about the philosophical beliefs that belie their scientific discoveries.
I also found it interesting that I had watched this program only the night before my friend/client and I were having this particular conversation - as really there is (as my mother told me oh so often) "no such thing as coincidence".
Also related to the astral plane is a dimension where 'everything there is all happens at the same time'. Here is a place where our usual sensory equipment that breaks experiences up into time and space is irrelevant; however thisspace can be tapped into for insights into events that do occur through our human perspective of time and space.

The astral plane can indeed be a very busy place. When I was the 'sorcerer's apprentice' to an Australian Aboriginal shaman woman much of our work happened in the astral plane dreaming space.
And when we were working real hard we would wake up tired from our corrections and adventures on the astral plane. This practice is a bit like lucid dreaming. We would go collecting relevant and useful information and utilizing it in our dreaming time. We often worked and travelled together during sleep. And still do. We do our healings on the astral plane.
And to the researcher who was asking if it is possible to turn on a light during lucid dreaming - my answer is "yes". This activity was one aspect of our 'work'.
Most often people are unaware of their astral traveling. But they inevitably occur during sleep. And, I'm sure some of you will be very surprised to learn even during certain of our awake times too.

So now let's get back to the question regarding astral lovers;
Yes - it is entirely possible to make love on the astral plane and it often happens. In fact in another article that I will write soon after this one I will discuss the advantages of having astral lovers.
So - what happened to my friend ? Did she really get a visitation from an ex ?
Yes - she did.
But - did her ex know he was visiting her and making love to her on the astral plane?
I seriously doubt that he knew he was doing this to her. Though on an unconscious level, which is a level he could have access to under certain circumstances he would know.
Would he have wanted this to happen if he was conscious of this act? (She really wanted to know the answer to this question).
I think the answer to this question is that he would be happy to make love to her astrally provided there was no implication on the 'physical plane'.

What does this mean?
Well - on the astral plane our spirits are not confined by our egos and our selfish desires etc. They can be aware of them but they remain unfettered. As such our spirit can 'leak'. It can do things that there is an inner, deep desire to do but that the processes of consciousness have prevented us from enacting. For various reasons us humans often do not follow our innermost desires and passions.
So - what did his visitation to her mean?
In terms of waking daily life it means completely nothing and no interpretation should be placed on the event. Other than that on a very deep level his spirit wanted to make love to her.

My advice to her is to acknowledge her enjoyment of the act but to not place any importance or significance onto it all. However if her ex was a conscious Tantra Master or a shaman accomplished on the astral plane I would tell her to thank her lucky stars that they have another avenue for their lovemaking. Under such circumstance he would no longer be her ex. His ego reasons for their breakup would be rendered redundant.
