Having a Subconscious Companion Beside You

Normally, we want to be with the people whom we are fond of or get attracted to. Seems easier said than done considering that not all these wants may be a reality. You have to consider a lot of things such as:

1. Do they want to be with you as well?
2. How they view you as a person?
3. Will they gain anything from being with you?
4. Do they have time for you?

If you look at it, these are strong questions to ask. It is not surprising to note that some of these questions may even dishearten an innocent plea. We have our infatuated moments, sometimes making it hard for us to accept the fact that people whom we desire so much cannot really be ours to have. In such times, we find ourselves stepping back, sulking and even trying to find ways to mend a broken heart.

There are women out there whom I myself have fallen for. Most of them showed courteous moments while others have just hidden somewhere to avoid me. As one good friend told me 2 years ago, "You don't deserve her. You deserve someone who will appreciate you for what you are beyond just a plain friend". True enough, it was all a very enlightening gesture on her part. And in the end, she was right all along.

In this world, you have to be open to people simply being with you since they need or want something from you. It can range from money, your expertise or even temporary companionship. But do remember that once any of these become satisfied, you will eventually be left out in the cold even if they say they wouldn't. You will just find yourself slowly being alone without any of them in sight.

But there is some sort of alternative to substitute going into the depression stage. All of us dream and that is something that they cannot tamper with. Our subconscious selves are sometimes the best world where we can cherish them and not get hurt. While some may not believe in fantasies, dreams of ours are something we hide within ourselves. It is a place where no one can intrude and take away from us. We just have to draw a fine line to separate fantasies from realities.
