Having a Very Spooky Merry Christmas

Mr. Scott
Are you feeling a little blue this Christmas season? Are you dreading the idea of having another boring Christmas day that just seems to keep repeating itself over and over again year after year? Would you like to find some new and creative ways to kind of spice things up this Christmas season and make things seem a lot more fun, interesting and special?

If so, then why not use your Halloween decorations and combine them with your Christmas decorations to create a special spooky Christmas day for you and your family? Here are 4 great suggestions I have to share with you that can really help turn your home into both a very spooky and very fun Christmas atmosphere.

Suggestion #1 - Try decorating your Christmas tree with Halloween decorations and decorate several large carved pumpkins with Christmas decorations.

Okay, if it is December where you live in America, and it's too late in the year to find any large pumpkins at the grocery store that you can start carving into ghoulish looking faces, don't worry about it. You can simply buy a few cheap basketballs and some orange spray paint at a sporting goods store and then cover the basketballs with orange spray paint.

Next, take a black marker and design some ghoulish looking faces on each of the orange basketballs and then decorate each basketball separately with some of your favorite Christmas decorations. Then place all of the decorated, spooky basketballs outside right next to your front door to greet your Christmas visitors this year.

When decorating your Christmas tree with your Halloween decorations, make sure to use plenty of fake spider webs and little Halloween decorations you can hang on your tree, like little witches, black cats, orange pumpkins, monsters and so forth.

Suggestion #2 - Try making a special witches brew out of your ordinary Christmas eggnog this year and serve it to your family and guests along with Halloween cookies and candy.

If you really enjoy drinking eggnog during the Christmas season, why not turn the merry eggnog into special Halloween witches brew eggnog instead? All you do is simply grab a large punch bowl and combine ordinary Christmas eggnog with red Hawaiian fruit punch and plop into the brew a large bag of edible gummy worms and a dozen edible eyeballs made by using cheap white and blue cake dye and hard boiled egg yolks.

The Hawaiian fruit punch will give the Christmas eggnog a special tangy flavor while also changing the color of the eggnog at the same time. The gummy worms and floating edible hard boiled egg yolk eyeballs will either naturally float on the surface of the eggnog or float around on the bottom of the punchbowl.

Either way, when your family or guests pour themselves a cup of witches brew eggnog from the punchbowl; they will probably get a few gummy worms or at least one edible hard boiled egg yolk eyeball in their cup.

Suggestion #3 - Try wrapping your Christmas gifts in Halloween decorations instead of traditional Christmas wrapping paper this year. Then have everybody in your family wear a spooky Halloween costume on Christmas morning while they open their spooky gifts.

If you really want to add some true fun and excitement to your next Christmas morning at home, try wrapping all of your Christmas gifts with Halloween decorations on Christmas Eve and then place the gifts under your Halloween Christmas tree.

Then, on Christmas morning, have everybody in your family put on a spooky Halloween costume before opening their spooky gifts under the spooky looking Christmas tree in the living room.

While your family is opening their Christmas gifts, be sure to play a combination of both traditional Christmas music and spooky Halloween music in your living room. It's a really great way to add some extra joy and laughter to a very traditional Christmas morning atmosphere.

Suggestion #4 - Try not to worry if your next door neighbors think you have gone nuts by choosing to decorate your Christmas tree with Halloween decorations and wear Halloween costumes while opening your Christmas gifts on Christmas morning.

By choosing to combine the wonderful traditions of both Halloween and Christmas during the holiday Santa season in December, you are helping to add a new and delightful twist to how Christmas can be fun, enjoyable and highly memorable without forgetting about the true meaning of Christmas.

So, I certainly hope you like my suggestions on how you and your family can enjoy a new and delightful way of celebrating Christmas next year while adding a little spooky Halloween fun in the mix of things. Remember, this is all in the spirit of merriness and a way to keep you extremely chipper to help permanently keep away any possible holiday blues.
