Honolulu, Hawaii- "A blast from the past", is what awaits locals here as Hawaii Pacific Entertainment & J.P. Productions present 80's phenomenal band, The Bangles on December 31.

The Bangles soared high in the music arena as blockbuster hits like Walk Like An Egyptian and Manic Monday heat the air waves.

Seating starts as $90, $130 and $200 for the VIPs.

Organizer of this event tends to offer a chance for concert goers and spectators to join this famous female pop band of the 80's, as it bids goodbye to 2008 and rock the incoming year of 2009.

Pre-show begins at 9:30 PM and will last until midnight , as it tends to welcome the New Year with Aud Lang Syne and great cheers.

The Bangles' full-length debut album on Columbia, All Over the Place (1984), captured their power-pop roots, featuring the singles "Hero Takes a Fall" and the Kimberley Rew-penned "Going Down To Liverpool" (originally recorded by Rew's band Katrina and the Waves). The record attracted good critical notices, and the video for "Liverpool" featured Leonard Nimoy, which helped to generate further publicity.

All this went some way to attracting the attention of Prince, who later wrote "Manic Monday" for the group "Manic Monday" went on to become a #2 hit in the US, the UK and Germany, outsold at the time only by another Prince composition, his own "Kiss". The band's second album Different Light (1986) was more polished than its predecessor and, with the help of the worldwide #1 hit "Walk Like an Egyptian", saw the band firmly in the mainstream as radio and MTV stalwarts.
