" Evening with Poets" is the annual poetry reading that celebrates the publication of Kudzu, the literary magazineof the Hazard Community and Technical College. The emcee, as always, will be Jim Webb. This year's spotlight poet is Affrilachian poet Bianca Spriggs. This reading is at 6:30 pm on Thursday April 22, 2010.
The Spring Writers Conference is Friday, April 23, 2010. It starts around 10:00 am and ends around 4:30 pm.
This year there are three concurrent workshops:
Fiction Writing with Gurney Norman, Poetry Writing with Bianca Spriggs, Short Fiction Writing with Pinckney Benedict. Both events are free. Bring a group if you like.
