Emotional abuse she suffered each day
Mental anguish he put her through
Always saying demeaning things
Demanding to have his own way
Every day provoking another argument
Her life filled with nothing but dread
Each day worse than the one before
Reacting by withdrawing from the world
Future ahead was looking bleak
End of all her hopes and dreams
Every day she was living in fear
Longing to one day find escape
Suddenly she found her chance
Miracles they still do happen
At last she achieved her freedom
Left her abusive past behind
Living a life of total happiness
