My eyes have grown dim, but He only sees their brightness;
My heart has gone cold, but He always feels its warmth;
When my eyes fill up with bitter tears; He wipes each one away;
When I am proud and impatient, He shows me patience and humility;
Even when I do not trust in Him at all, He trusts in me completely;
When everything seems impossible, He gives me a reason to believe;
When the waves of doubt pull me under; He is always there to lift me out;
When I feel useless to myself and others; He gives me a sense of purpose;
When I feel deprived in mind and spirit; He nourishes me with good things;
There are times when I can be so ugly; yet He thinks I'm beautiful;
When I feel isolated from the world; He never leaves me completely alone;
And when my heart breaks into a million fragments; He will always give me His
