I was praying this morning and listening to a christian tv show and was so touched by God and encouraged to have faith. God reminded me of a verse in Psalm 84:5, where it says, " Happy are those in whose hearts trust/faith lives".
Throughout history we know God has called us to trust Him. He is faithful. The problem is that we have such little faith.
I believe God wants from us steadfastness. We are so much like the people of Israel in the Old Testament: when things are well, we praise and have faith; when things are bad, we lose faith and complain. We need to stand strong on God's promises and quote the Scriptures.
I really believe and have noticed in my own life, plus in other's people lives, that when we pray Scriptures out loud, things change. God honors His Word. His Word is always His will. 1 John 5 says that IF we ask anything according to His will, we own those things. That is awesome!
But we need to believe. Jesus did ask this question, " Will I find faith on Earth when I come back?" Will He?
It is so easy to doubt especially when we are looking at our circumstances. We struggle financially, we lost jobs, we have bills, etc. I am wanting to encourage you to open up your Bible and take God's Word and pray it out lous. Why out loud? Because there is power in our words? God SPOKE the world into existence, not THINK it! We need to speak things into existence. The Bible says in a Psalm that forever His Word is settled in heaven. It is up to us to settle it here on Earth. So, pray the Word out loud.
Also, stop being a beggar. Stop begging God to do things He asked you to do. Paul said that we were colaborers WITH God. We all work with God. So, that means we have out part to do. So, speak out loud and pray the promises of God. I have noticed huge changes in my life and prayers answered when I did that. And don't doubt. God IS FAITHFUL! Just trust. Just believe His Word.
Psalm 33:19 says that He willl keep us alive int he middle of the famine. We all know we are headed towards a world wide famine. At least that is what we are told. So, let us pray. God took care of the Israelites in the desert where there was NO FOOD OR WATER whatsoever. He will keep us again.
Hebrews 11:1 says that "faith is STRONG confidence in the things unseen". It is an unmovable confidence. Hebrews 11:6 says that, "Those who come close to God they HAVE TO believe that He IS and He REWARDS those who seek Him".
Trust God. He doesn't lie. Pray. Ask Him questions. Read His Word. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Confidence comes by hearing the Word and faith will move mountains in turn.
So, let us trust Him and pray His Word out loud today and see your mountains move as you are steadfast.
