He Won't Leave My Mind

He enters my mind through every opening
He's built himself a home there or so he says
Where he hides from the world
Engrossed in my own

I've tried to get him out but he's everywhere
In my memories and in my dreams,
He even lies in my darkest secrets and biggest regrets
All of which i will deny

He's so good at staying out of my life
But he's oh so bad at leaving my head
And in time i will forget we ever have met
Until then he wanders my mind

He filters my thoughts with words of his own
Convincing me of his innocence
He echos our short moments together
With visions i'd like to forget
He toys with my confidence
By altering my memory of what went wrong

He dirties my brain with garbage
Never cleaning up his house of lies
He whipsers, and dances and plays all night
Breaking anything he can possibly find
He tugs and pulls like a puppet master
To the thin and weiry strings of my heart

He's so good at staying out of my life
But he's oh so bad at leaving my head
And in time i will forget we ever have met
