Garlic supports a healthy immune system which is necessary to fight cancer and other diseases. Studies have shown that the properties in garlic have the ability to prevent the growth of certain cancer cells. The anti-fungal agent in garlic is called Allicin. This is what gives the herb its strong smell.
Allicin is released in the juice of the garlic when it is crushed. While garlic is very good for you, others may not appreciate what it does to your breath. Remember to brush after eating any foods with a strong odor. One other side effect of eating a lot of garlic is that you will notice that your sweat smells like garlic as well.
The health benefits of garlic oil:

Is it an herb or a plant?
Garlic grows from a bulb that is planted in the ground. It is capable of being grown year round in temperate climates. Plants can be grown in small pots indoors as long as they have adequate light and space. It is also closely related to onions, shallots, leeks and chives. Onions also have disease fighting properties so foods that contain both onions and garlic back a stronger punch. It is easy to add these foods to cooked dishes.
Natural remedies or ways to use the herb as medicine:
A small piece of garlic wrapped in gauze or tissue and placed in the ear helps ear aches.
Chop a fresh clove of garlic and add it to soup or broth to fight a cold.
Rub a clove of cut garlic on mosquito bites to kill the sting.
Some methods for adding it to your meals:
Sauté a few onions, peppers, and garlic to add to your favorite dishes. If you have a garden, plant a bulb or two to have your own fresh garlic to add spice to your food. Consuming fresh garlic will give you stinky breath but will help strengthen your immune system to protect against disease.
