Health Benefits of Wearing Silver

Did you know that wearing silver might help your energy levels? Just like crystals are believed to have energy and healing effects, silver is thought to give its wearer health benefits.

Another interesting fact; did you know that silver has electromagnetic properties and it conducts a minute electric charge? While it's at a very minimal level, silver also deposits tiny little ions into the skin which then absorb into the blood stream and circulates throughout the body. This mineral is actually helpful to the blood vessels and their elasticity.

Some people even ingest colloidal silver - on purpose! It isn't recommended by the FDA, but traditionally has been used in alternative medical remedies.

For centuries silver has been worn to increase energy and focusing abilities. It has also been worn to fend away illnesses such as pain from arthritis and the symptoms of iron deficiency-anemia also known as IDA.

Some scientific research supports the health benefits of wearing magnetic, silver, copper and gold bracelets but studies also show that in excessive amounts, the mineral has had adverse effects. It's an interesting debate between traditional and scientific remedies.

Personally, I do not think these are cures - but fun and interesting experiments with jewelry. What do you think? Should centuries of alternative healing practices be disregarded in favor of the opinion of a few modern scientists?
