Northwest Indiana has an abundance of hospitals, clinics, medical centers, urgent care centers and more. If you are seeking employment in Northwest Indiana a healthcare job might be the route for you. They have some of the best ranking hospitals in the state.

Hospitals, clinics and other healthcare facilities not only higher degreed personnel, but non degreed as well. You have to think outside of the box. Some positions that do not require a college degree are unit clerk, maintenance, environmental services, food service and more. I personally do not have a degree, but have over ten years of experience working in hospitals. I made a great salary and loved the environment of working in a hospital.

If you think a healthcare job might be right for you, there are many certificate programs that are offered that will qualify you for a job in healthcare too. You can receive certification in fields like unit secretary, nursing assistant, home health aide, medical terminology and more. Many certification programs do not require you attend a class for a long period of time. Getting certified in a field is a great way to start a career. Healthcare employment has great job security too.

The Community Healthcare System in Northwest Indiana is comprised of three local hospitals. First being, Community Hospital in Munster, Indiana. The second is Saint Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Indiana. The third is Saint Mary Medical Center in Hobart, Indiana. I have had the pleasure of working at Community Hospital. Many of the people I worked with years ago are still employed there. It was a great place to work. The Methodist Hospitals are another healthcare system in Northwest Indiana. They are comprised of several different hospitals and facilities. One of their hospitals are Methodist Hospital Northlake Campus in Gary, Indiana. Another one of their hospitals are Methodist Hospital Southlake Campus in Merrillville, Indiana. I have not worked for their system, but have used it for medical treatment. Their employees have always been very friendly and helpful. Yet another healthcare system in Northwest Indiana is the Sisters of Saint Francis Health Services. Saint Anthony Medical Center is in their system and is located in Crown Point, Indiana. I have also had the pleasure of working for Saint Anthony Hospital and loved it. I have very fond memories of working there.
