Aspartame sold in the market place under the names of Equal, Nutrasweet and Sugar Twin. Aspartame is probably one of the most controversial sugar substitutions on the markets today's with countless websites dedicated to why aspartame should not be consumed. Saccharin better known as Sweet'N low, Sweet Twin and Necta Sweet is one of the top most used sugar substitutes in today's markets and used in most sugar free products sold in today's market. This is closely followed up with Aspartame being the oldest of the sugar substitutes.
Sucralose better known as Splenda has been taking the market by storm as one of the newest sugar substitutes on the market. But due to the fact Sucralose was discovered while trying to create a new insecticide it makes one wonder why anyone would want to try anything but a healthy alternative and a more natural approach with artificial sweeteners.
Stevia is an actual plant where the sweetness comes directly from the plant, the leaves to be exact. One major plus to the stevia sweetener is that stevia does not affect blood glucose levels and can be used freely by diabetics.

One tip we have come to find out though it does not dissolve very well into hot substance for example your hot cup of tea. It works wonderful in your baking products.
