Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it gives the kids the nutrition they are going to need to make it through the day. Too many kids don't eat a nutritional breakfast in the morning, instead they are filled with sugary cereals or unemotional pastries covered in artificial jellies or hi-fat sugar mixes. The best thing you can do for your child before sending them off to school is make them a healthy breakfast. There are many easy breakfasts that you can make that your kids will love and will keep them attentive and alert.

Every kid loves a pancake breakfast but not every parent has the time to prepare a pancake breakfast every morning. One thing you can do is on Sunday before the school week starts is prepare pancakes for the week. Make a large batch of pancakes and place them in a large zip lock freezer bag and place them in the freezer bag for the week. They stay fresh and are perfectly suitable to be refrozen in a toaster, microwave, or in an oven. Just thaw a couple out every day and serve with juice and their favorite fruit.

Another good breakfast for kids is eggs. Scrambled eggs have big appeal to young kids and make a breakfast snack that is "fun". With a slight bit of pepper scrambled eggs can taste good all on their own. If your kid is a picky eater try adding cheese and making scrambled cheesy eggs. If you want to mix it up a little bit and some variety warm up some tortillas and put the eggs in them for a quick and easy breakfast burrito. Serve with a side of bacon or just all by itself.

Fruit is a child's best friend, as well as yours. A good healthy fruit breakfast is easy to prepare and your kids will love it. If you want to make a variety fruit salad the best idea is on Sunday cut up varieties of fruit such as apples, pears, melon, cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, pineapple, and any other tasty fruits your kids may like. Take your assorted fruit pieces and place them in a air tight container and place it in the refrigerator to dispense through the week. For a fun twist or on the go kids take their favorite fruits , but not to many different types, banana and strawberries work well, and blend them with non fat plain yogurt. It makes a tasty treat for your kids and can be placed in a container and taken on the go for the rush mornings.
