Healthy and Delicious Oatmeal Idea

If You Haven't Had Oatmeal This Way, Give it a Try!

Not everyone loves oatmeal. Even though we've all heard a million times how good it is for us, lowers cholesterol, high in fiber, blah, blah, blah...... well, oatmeal can be downright nasty-tasting.

Here's a recipe for oatmeal for those who don't like oatmeal (myself included). I really like this recipe!

Prepare your oatmeal as usual, according to the package directions. I've tried all types of oatmeal, slow-cooking, quick-cooking, etc. It all tastes the same to me, so I suggest using quick oats and putting them in the microwave.
Take your microwaved oatmeal and top with a little soy milk. Now, sprinkle with cinnamon. OK, for the piece de resistance: top your oatmeal with fresh raspberries.

There's something about the raspberries, that combination of sweetness and tartness, that is just right for oatmeal. And with the cinnamon and soy milk, well, it tastes special, not like plain old oatmeal.

So there you have it. A new take on an old breakfast staple.
