Although there are numerous treats out there in the stores and markets (too many to number), most of these treats contain fillers that can be harmful to our pets in the long run. Some carry ingredients that even humans would not want in their food, yet because of tricky marketing and fancy ads we allow them into our home and let our loved ones put this junk into our body.
But no worry, I have a quick solution. Here are a few treats that you can make at home for your pet while controlling what ingredients your pet has.
Soft Banana Treat
For this snack you'll need the following ingredients:
1 egg
1 cup of oats
1/2 banana
1/3 cup of milk
1/2 cup of flour
Mix the milk, flour and oats along with a beaten egg. Squash you banana until it is soft and mushy. Combine the liquid mixture along with the squashed banana and spread it out evenly out on a plate.
Heat your plate in the microwave for 3 to 3 1/2 minutes and then let them cool.
Now you have a tasty treat that you'll pet will love.
Frozen Yogurt Peanut Butter Treats
To complete this simple treat you'll only need:
A 32oz. container of vanilla yogurt
1 cup of peanut butter
First, place the peanut butter in a microwaveable dish and heat until it is completely melted. Next, pull out the peanut butter and mix in the yogurt.
Finally pour your mixture into small papers used to make cup cakes and freeze.
A treat that will make any dog happy.
Thanksgiving Doggie Treats
Here are the necessary ingredients for this dog loving treat:
2 pounds of ground turkey
2 eggs
2 cups cooked rice
8 oz. peas
3 carrots, diced
1 apple, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
First you should preheat your over to 375 degrees. Combine all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix by hand. Place your finished product on a baking sheet in the oven for 45 minutes.
Remove and let cool. Once cool it is now ready to serve.
These are just a few recipes you can make at home to give your dog a healthy, happy treat.
