Mediation is the best form of de-stressing yourself. It is a very old and spiritual form of relaxation that has been practiced from many ages. Mediation is a technique through which we channelize all our energy into the positive things, thinking deep from within and not superficially, it is a cleansing technique that involves the mind and the heart. It is also known as a state of mindfulness.
Mediation is done in order to concentrate on the inner self and try to forest all the external disturbances in our lives. While meditating it is important to close our eyes, heart and soul to the external world and concentrate on our concentration within. You need to concentrate on your breath. The easiest way to meditate is by concentrating on a light. Go to a quiet room, burn a oil lamp and concentrate on the flame of the lamp, try slowly to stop seeing the other objects near the lamp, concentrating hard on the flame. Slowly and steadily you should be able to see only the flame of the light and not even the complete lamp. Keep concentrating on the flame and close your eyes and try to feel the movement of the flame on all the parts of your body.
Take deep breaths and release them slowly, with each breathe you should feel lighter and better. Try to hear the sound of your own breath. You can also play some soft soothing music or vedic chats in the room that you choose to meditate, close your eyes and listen to those chants carefully and feel the vibration that the chants stir in your body. It is very essential to concentrate while you're meditating. Meditation should give you peace of mind, try to detach yourself from all the chores outside and let your body relax and awaken your inner soul.
Meditation is the best and easiest method to help your body relax. Making it a part of your everyday life will help you relax and feel fresh. After a hectic day's work, meditating even for mere 10 minutes can do wonders to the mind, body and soul. To be fit it is important that we are mentally, physically and emotionally fit. Meditation also opens up many new avenues and helps us think of any given stressful situation in a new light. Whenever in stress, you can just sit down and close your eyes, breathe in deeply and exhale and you will notice your nerves and body loosening up and in turn your stress getting washed away. You don't need any special place or external help or equipment in this relaxation technique. So next time your mind is blocked and you feel confused or stressed, give this oldest form of yoga a try and you will surely get addicted to it henceforth.
