Fresh Cherry Smoothie - A Healthy Smoothie Recipe for Kids
This smoothie recipe is a tasty treat on warm summer nights and one that your children will enjoy.
Ingredients:
1 cup of vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 cup of fresh cherries, washed, pitted and stems removed
¼ cup of milk
2-4 ice cubes
Optional - 1 teaspoon of wheat germ
Before starting this smoothie recipe, remove pits from enough cherries to provide one cup of fruit. Place the yogurt, sugar and wheat germ, optional, in the blender. Add the fresh cherries and milk. Place the lid on the blender and turn the blender on to high speed. Blend until the healthy smoothie mixture is thick and creamy. Now add two to four ice cubes to the blender and blend at high speed until all the ice is blended into fine pieces. Pour into glasses and serve immediately. This recipe makes approximately two 8 ounce servings.

2 medium bananas (frozen)
½ cup of frozen blueberries

1 tablespoon of sugar
