Healthy Vegetable Juice Recipes

Fresh Juices Support Vitality and Health

Jennifer Lanier
Fresh juices offer an array of nutrients that the body can readily absorb and utilize. This is due partly to the fact that fresh juices provide live enzymes that are destroyed when food is cooked and partly to the fact that the nutrients in juice are readily available to the body without the body having to first digest these food items.

Fresh juices support vitality, energy and health in ways that dead, cooked foods cannot. In times of illness and health alike, fresh vegetable juices can produce an immediate boost in one's feeling of well-being, mood and state of health.

It is best to use organic produce for juicing. If organic produce is not available, be sure to always thoroughly rinse all parts of vegetables and fruits before juicing. Scrub large leaves with a brush. Peel root vegetables, such as carrots, with a vegetable peeler.

Unless otherwise stated, most juices should be diluted with pure water. Never use tap water. The enzymes in fresh juice start to die as soon as they are exposed to air at room temperature so it is always best to drink juices immediately.
