Heart Diseases Caused Due to High Cholesterols.

The fatty, wax like substance that is found in the body tissues and blood is called cholesterol. It is in the liquid form and can be detected if a lipid profile of the blood is obtained. Cholesterol is partially soluble in water but more in organic solvents.

A high percentage of cholesterol in the body leads to obesity. Obese people are more prone to heart diseases; obesity directly affects the heart and can cause hypertension and also lead to heart attacks. If the percentage of cholesterol in the body is high it leads to atherosclerosis, this means hardening of the arteries. Atherosclerosis is one major heart disease. A huge number of people die due to this disease.

To detect atherosclerosis is not easy as in most cases this disease is visible only after a major problem occurs. Some of the symptoms of Atherosclerosis are breathlessness and contracting pain in the chest. It happens due to lack of blood supply, because the arteries are blocked due to lack of blood delivered to the organs, it can also lead to serious muscular damage and harm the blood vessels.

Cholesterol is found in blood and tissues, and literally speaking atherosclerosis is the composition of other fats and cholesterol on the walls of the arteries. Cholesterol can enter the arteries in any part of the body.

When cholesterol and its composite enter the arteries they are found in the inner walls of the arteries and develop over a long period of time. It works as slow poison. A large amount of cholesterol in the body may also block the main artery carrying blood to the brain, heart and other important parts of the body. This may result in heart attacks.

A person's diet, physical stress, eating habits, lifestyle like consumption of alcohol or smoking can lead to a higher risk of suffering from heart disease. Cholesterol when found in high quantity jams the arteries. Similarly deposits in the lungs due to smoking also acts as a block in the blood flow. This causes obstruction in the supply of blood to the body organs.

The heart becomes weak over a period of time as it has to work more than required to pump blood into the arteries. This results in the heart to enlarge and become fragile. High cholesterol also leads to high blood pressure and it is very difficult to get rid of these diseases.

Coronary artery disease is similar to Atherosclerosis it is the composition of fatty substance found in blood on the inner walls of the arteries. This reduces the size of the arteries and reduces the supply of blood to the body organs.

Vascular diseases are caused due to bad cholesterol. The human body needs cholesterol as well, but when the percentage of cholesterol is higher than the required amount it is known as bad cholesterol.

However, thanks to the modern technology as cholesterol levels in blood can be customized as per the individual's body requirements. A lot of green and dark green leafy vegetables help to lower the rise of cholesterol levels in the body.
