Heart and Soul
Heart and soul
this is what I would seek
Something strong and whole
among the fractured and weak
But I am not yet what I need
not close to what I desire
A mere spark inside these veins
that will some day grow into a fire
so those around me can be warmed
by my peace, my love, my smile
Lord, help me to be the best I can
although this will take a while
I know that I should be
the things I would look for
Please help me work on me
for what you have in store
