1 lb lean ground beef
1 large egg
1/3 cup oats, fast cooking
1 tablespoon worcestshire sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 to 1 teaspoon mustard
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Place ground meat in large bowl. Add beaten egg, oats, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and worcestshire sauce to meat and combine well. Mix in shredded cheese. Coat loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray. Shape meat to fit loaf pan and place in oven. Bake for 45 minutes. Combine ketchup, brown sugar and mustard to make sauce. Remove from oven and cover top with sauce. Return to oven finish baking an additional 15 to 30 minutes or until center is no longer pink.Tip
You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a healthier versin. You can also substitute 2 egg whites for 1 whole egg and omit the sauce and cheese. The meatloaf will still be hearty and delicious.
