Heat Players Foul After Being Swept by Chicao Bulls 87-86

Alleged Locker-Room Tears

Gary Davis
The reason I don't think the Miami Heat will do anything this year that will remain paramount in history is that they aren't a team. They are a group of egos. They don't have much of a bench. They are a group of egos. When the team loses four in a row, as they just have accomplished, it's even worse than blaming others; they all think they are the one to blame. They are a group of egos. This latest loss of their four came at the hands of the Chicago Bulls, 87-86, in Florida.

Sam Smith has posted an article at the Chicago Bulls' website titled "Bulls sweep the Heat." The upshot is that the Bulls have taken all three games from the Miami Heat this year.

It was reported that some Heat players were crying in the locker room after the loss. At least one (Dwyane Wade) was whining to the press, saying that everyone is happy that the Heat is losing. Many people are happy. Nothing was more disgusting than the carnival approach and "loud-mouthing" that went on in Miami.

Of interest is that the Miami Heat is a "league-worst 1-16" from the floor when the shot is to tie or go ahead in a game.

As our reference article reports, the Miami Heat is "1-9 against San Antonio, Dallas, Chicago and the Lakers." These are key teams for the Heat, and it means that LeBron James is probably out of the running for MVP.

James scored 26 points, but Derrick Rose had 27 while an "assist less." Chris Bosh had 23 points and Mr. Wade had 20 points. While good numbers for a journeyman player, they are not so good for a self-proclaimed super-star.

The Chicago Bulls, on the other hand, pulled out another win to pass the Miami Heat in percentage points to move into second place. The Bulls have their fans hoping this year -- and yes, that includes me.

The Bulls didn't out-shoot the Heat but they did end up out-rebounding, and when push came to shove, they outplayed them.

I'm being hard on the Miami Heat; everybody is. Why? They acted like lunatics before the season and predicted a championship.

What has happened is what many pundits thought might happen and that is it is hard to meld a lot of talent -- talent that is used to being the "show."

The Miami Heat may be more than a bunch of egos; now the time has come to prove it.
