Heath Ledger Found Dead

28-year-old actor Heath Ledger was pronounced dead in his Soho apartment by New York City Police Officials at 3:35 pm eastern standard time. They are investigating a possible drug overdose as cause of death. He leaves behind a 2-year old daughter he had with his former fiance Michelle Williams. Heath Ledger had just finished filming scenes for The Dark Knight, the much anticipated sequel to 2006's Batman Begins.

Ledger starred in such blockbuster films as: The Patriot, The Brother's Grimm, Brokeback Mountain, and Casanova. He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in Brokeback Mountain in 2006. To his fans he was irreplaceable, charismatic, handsome and gifted. When he was in South Carolina filming "The Patriot" alongside Mel Gibson I was lucky enough to meet him in person.

He made a point of talking to as many extras as he could and always took time out to sign autographs if asked for them. He was always telling jokes, smiling and making the crew laugh. He never came off as sarcastic or ungrateful. He was a pure professional and was one of the most down to earth people I've ever met.
