Heatswell Cup Sleeve - Technology Allows the Sleeve to Expand, Insulate when Heat is Detected

My search for the latest technology never gets old. This is because I am always excited, surprised, or disappointed by something that is being developed or has already been developed. A lot of concept technology that I come across never comes to the market because it is so insanely genius that a lot of people would not get it. This might change with a recent concept that I came across via Armon Experimental. They have managed to create a hot cup sleeve that does a lot more than just sit there an protect you hand from the heat.

Armon Experimental is always working on out of this world ideas to make basic concepts better. Their latest spark of absolute genius comes with something called the Heatswell. What we have hear is something that looks like your basic hot coffee sleeve that you put over a hot cup of coffee from Starbucks or McDonald's. The sleeve is placed on the cup to help protect you from getting burned if the cup is too hot. Armon Experimental decided to take it a step further by creating a cup sleeve that expands via endothermic reaction.

Chemical endothermic reactions need heat to be performed. Basically, Armon has made it so that the cup sleeve will react once heat is indicated. For example, let us say you have the cup sleeve on the cup and decide to pour yourself a hot cup of tea. The sleeve will notice how hot the liquid is and react accordingly. What results is that the hot sleeve will expand while insulating your hot coffee and keeping your hand from getting burned in the process.

A quick glimpse at the process is kind of cool. When the hot tea is placed into the cup the process begins and you can watch in unfold before your eyes. The cup sleeve almost looks like a balloon in the way in which it expands. However, it does not expand to the point in which it makes it uncomfortable to hold the cup. This is a plus because you love the fact you are being protected but do not want to not be able to drink your tea with convenience as well.

I personally think this technology is amazing and is bound to hit the market in the next year or so. Armon Experimental has something truly unique in regards to how they have incorporated endothermic reaction chemical reaction concepts to create a one of a kind cup sleeve. You should keep you eye open for this amazing technology and remember that you heard it hear first.
