I arrived to the salon right on time. First, let me give you the visuals, so you can try to imagine exactly what heaven on earth looks like! The outside display is enough to make you stop, reflect and quickly enter to make an appointment for services. The window display has cool and sensual hues of blue, aqua, and mean serene green, aquarium pebbles. The lit halos all hang in their appropriate place; to add glimmer to the window. The window display is one of the many great features about the whole salon. Oh yes, it gives true definition to appearance being everything.
Once I hit the intercom for entrance, I assumed I would take an elevator right to heaven, but I was wrong. Now my whole thought of heaven being on earth slowly faded out of my mind, because the welcome signed pointed downward. Instantly, I felt the connection, thoughts and concepts of an underworld haven for heavenly hair and facial care, as I spiraled down the steps. I saw the same white halo light balls hanging from the ceiling as aqua blue walls allowed the halo lights to reflect their hue brightly into the lower foyer. I forgot that I was on assignment and instantly, I felt drawn into the serene atmosphere, without the pressures of the world on my back. Damn, can I get a pedicure, a foot massage or a press and curl? Ya girl did not want to leave Halowithout something sensational being done to her.
I opened the seductive and sleek looking wooden door by the golden handle and I entered the Transformation Zone! Stylists were fiercely workin on clients hair, the aromatherapy of light jasmine and vanilla tunneled up my nose. The smooth tunes of Raheem DeVaughn made me "Believe" that the Halo Salon and Spa was the place to be. (Sorry for rhyming, my poetic skills take over sometimes.) I was really in love with this place. A nice reception desk with a sign in sheet awaited your autograph, a cool goodie bucket of salon care products, attractively priced for sale was on the counter. To the right of the desk was an awesome buffet style of pastries and coffee, and other drink choices. Neither the mood, nor ambiance of the atmosphere ever changed even though I blinked my eyes a thousand times. Unlike most salons, when you walk in...everyone stops to peep. Not here, work carries on like the mail... through snow, sleet or hail; the stylists prevail.
The owner Hope Lynn was a gracious host. Instantly I could see where the inspiration for the HaloSalon and Spa had arisen. Hope Lynn was very humble and pleasant in her greetings. Truthfully speaking, she really did not have to say one word, because the salon spoke millions of words into my soul and scalp! Yall must understand! Not only do you need a great stylist, but a haven, that's on point, clean, attractive and relaxing! See, this is the main reason why some of yall need to come on out of those kitchen hair shacks!!!! Halo will meet all of your hair care and facial needs.
Once all the formalities were out of the way, the official tour began. I was dazzled at the sight of the cute and unique earring rack on one of the ceiling posts. The display was wrapped with fencing wire and the cutest handmade jewelry hung from the wiring. I noticed most of the cute jewelry had earrings on it. Most of the earrings were stamped or hand painted with the Halo Salon name on them. What a great way to advertise. Next, I was introduced to the foot spa area. It was so neat! The sitting area had a tall high back booth about three or four feet from ground level. The pedicurist sat at foot level and the sinks are in position right below your feet. The soft and cushiony pillows you relax on, simply invite you to take a nap, while your feet receive pampering.
The next station was the eyebrow waxing area. A nice and comfortable chair assumed position in front of a full floor mirror. The lighting was bright but not blinding. Name brand...okay let me say it again; name brand waxing supplies were in use. There is no need to worry about breakouts or irritations. No products in the salon were CHEAP! Grade A products were all around. The word BULK is not in their vocabulary. You simply get what you pay for.
From there, we were on our way to view the eyelash, body waxing and massage therapy room. In this room, soothing music plays in the background, while deep, sensual and nerve relaxing aromatherapy simmers throughout the air. The lighting is adjustable to suit your atmospheric desires. In this area, you can also have long, or short, sexy and flirtatious eyelashes (XTREME EYELASHES) placed on. Xtreme eyelashes have received great accolades on radio and in print! Forget the store bought eyelashes and go for the professional touch! Visit the website (www.thelashloft.net) for a better visual of how XTREME EYELASHES can benefit you. For the real troopers, you can also have body waxing done here as well. Damn, no comment here. I'll leave that body waxing stuff to the real men and women! If scissors, clippers or a razor can't cut it, then it stays! No, WAXINGS FOR ME!
I was finally done with my tour and may I say that the Halo Salon and Spa, offers the total package in hair and skin care. Throughout the presentation, I never had to ask any questions because Hope Lynn answered them all. I was really sold on the fact that all stylists are very multi-talented, have created hair and skin care products and they are very much involved with the community in which they serve! Dang, this is such a full-service salon. I also loved the fact that they continuously travel to and participate in hair shows, take continuing educational courses in their fields and they all strive to design and live outside the box.
For a new way of life, contact the Halo Salon and Spa. Their total and ultimate hair and skin care will escalate you well into the clear blue skies and make you feel anew! Do not put off visiting this salon any longer. Head to toe, the Halo Salon and Spa have you covered.
