Heavy Putter Review

A Great Putter and a Great Training Aid

MikeBabjak
I just had a chance to demo a Heavy Putter. First of let me say, yes, they are heavy! 900 grams heavy, about twice as heavy as any other putter!

What will this do for you? It will help you make more putts! Especially those tough 3-5 footers! They heavy weight allows you to use your bigger muscles in the putting stroke, thus eliminating the need to get "handsy" with the club and give it a good old "yip"! But this is not where the technology stops folks, oh no, the model I tested has a ton of features designed to help you sink more puts!

I tested the B1 Center Shaft. This putter is heavy yes, but is also a mallet design. I prefer this design because it sits flat on the putting surface and has some alignment help by way of two cut outs directly behind the ball. Next is the 100% flat CNC Milled face for not only a true, consistent roll, but a great feel. The soft 303 stainless head not only feels great, but looks great as well. In fact, all of their putters work great, but it is how they performed that surprised me most!

I'll admit, it took a little getting used to the new feel. I ran several short puts several feet past before I stopped trying to hit the ball, and make a nice, smooth, natural stroke. Simply taking a nice smooth back swing and letting gravity take over really helps you to release the putter well while keeping it on line at the same time. After just a few putts, I was jarring everything in the back of the cup! Being a Golf Pro, I will have a unique opportunity to play and promote this putter to my students next season, and while I thought I would never find a better putter than the one I was using, I just did!

These putters are fully customizable too, from changing the lie angle, length or weight of the club head to be lighter or even more heavy by using their patented Weight Management System, you can do it! You can have these babies ordered any way you would like and in several different head styles and finishes! From a mallet look to a traditional heel shafted putter, there is certainly one that will fit your eye.

I suggest this great putter to anyone who struggles with short putts, trust me, this bad boy will work for you too!
