Hedonistic

The smell of your skin when I first awake

In that deep, early morning breath I take

Your blushed, golden skin glowing in the dawn

Is always a pleasure to look upon

The warmth of your skin, the taste of your flesh

Leaves me in bed, wanting to convalesce

The mellow, husky timbre of your voice

Melting me, leaving me with little choice

Your fingers entangled within my hair

Have me reaching-pulling-gasping for air

Skin like velvet, muscles like molded steel

Comments I make until my lips you seal

One kiss from your lips and I am silent

Until I am begging you to relent

Awed by the power, the strength of your drive

Cadence of your heart, proof you are alive

Beats faster as we continue our dance

Throaty moans overheard by happenstance

Ecstatic shrieks threaten to overcome

As heaven and earth melt to become one

And not just alone do these things occur

The lines separating us seem to blur

The touch of your hand, the smile on your face

My problems seem to evaporate

The calm pervading, heart and soul within

Differs 'tween love and original sin

Holding my hand while you searing my soul

Smile in my heart that takes naught to cajole

I must remind myself to keep my head

But just keep on falling further instead

All these fears you continue to allay

There is nothing I can do or can say

When I give it, my heart will be complete

The ultimate gift, humble yet elite

For with it comes loyalty unsurpassed

Fidelity that time cannot outlast

Honor that breeds from the depth of my soul

The courage and strength to attain any goal

The protection of a sarcastic tongue

Fight that lasts 'til the last breath leaves my lungs

But it is not I who chooses your thoughts

And your feelings cannot be sold or bought

And be your heart fickle, tired, or true

It cannot stop me from falling for you

But in this moment I get down and pray

My solemn heart will not my soul betray

Seeking in your eyes reciprocation

Or kill me quickly with separation

All I require is a simple signal

Before my shields of protections withdrawal

Without your company, it be remiss

For me to ascend to love's sweet abyss
