Heidi and Spencer Sex Tape "Would Be Huge" Says Vivid President Steve Hirsch (TMZ Video)

The Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt sex tape buzz has generated a ton of interest by the public, even though to date no such tape(s) has been actually seen. And since it's hard to believe what Heidi or Spencer each might say about it, one may want to listen to Steve Hirsch, President of Vivid Entertainment, who sat down with TMZ and gave his version of the story.

Hirsch told TMZ that Spencer Pratt contacted him trying to sell a "catalog of videos" of Heidi, himself, and some of which involve a third party, Playmate Karissa Shannon. Hirsch told TMZ, "We are in early negotiations to possibly come to terms for a deal."

According to Hirsch, "the public has a voracious appetite for sex tapes."

When asked why a Heidi and Spencer sex tape would be successful, the Vivid Entertainment exec simply replied "Love 'em or hate 'em people certainly talk about them all the time."

Mr. Hirsch is correct: people can't get enough of Speidi.

In fact, maybe Heidi and Spencer's recipe for success is a brilliant one, combining ingredients of intrigue, disgust, pity and sex. Who would've thought the idea would be so tasty?

One may wonder to if this whole ordeal is the truth or simply a scam to get attention, money, etc. Heidi and Spencer certainly have been successful if their goal was to get publicity, and more than likely will continue to do so especially as the sex tape story unfolds.

As far as money is concerned, a report by Radar Online stated that Kim Kardashian, Kendra Wilkinson, and Paris Hilton made (and still do profit) from their sex tapes. (Kardashian dropped her lawsuit against Vivid and settled for $5 million.)

Regardless if Pratt really does have a "catalog of videos", one thing is pretty certain: all parties involved must consent to the release of such tapes or lawsuits can be issued. In fact, Hirsch told TMZ, "We don't put anything out unless it goes through our attorneys and they give us the go ahead."
